Morality in childrearing and in care

As in the rest of society, the idea of consequences (‘quid pro quo’ but also, ‘tit for tat’) is important in childrearing and healthcare. But those consequences must be based on the morality of the concept of connectedness (‘I am, because we are’). Or, as Harold Hulbert says: “Children need love, especially when they do not deserve it”.
